We almost finished building our greenhouse. We built it to grow more food to share with our community.

In the middle of February, we had a crazy ice storm. We got over an inch of ice. We don’t normally get that much ice here. The greenhouse wasn’t designed to handle that much weight, and it collapsed.

The greenhouse is destroyed. We can’t even salvage the plastic because it landed on t-posts and is full of holes. The metal posts are bent in half.

Losing this space will set us back from when we can start growing. Without it, we lose three months of growing time.

It is not easy to ask for help. Especially when things are hard for everyone but anything will help! If you can’t donate a share will be much appreciated! Thanks so much for reading this.

Update 9/20/2021

• We are almost halfway to our goal!
• We took the plastic off and can salvage it for other projects.
• It took us a couple of months to find the metal posts but we did. I was a bit worried we would. Lots of farms lost greenhouses in the area to the same storm.
• Chris has planted some things we hope to winter over. Now we just need the plastic cover. 🤞

Update 3/19/2022

This me trying to stop happy crying over Chris planting in our finished greenhouse! We are so grateful for all your support to rebuild! We raised almost $2,000 for materials. Mind blown. It helped us so much and now we are back in business!
